“God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.
For the past two years, thousands of members from across this church have dedicated one day to serve communities in ways that share the love of God with all people.
After our worship service we met for a quick lunch and then broke up into project groups to tackle our day's work. These projects included:
- delivering firewood
- honoring employees at local nursing homes
- sorting donated clothing for future distribution
- making personal hygene kits for the homeless/needy citizens
- landscaping/trimming bushes at one of our senior citizens home
