In Person Outside Worship at Mt Zion!
Starts May 16

Date and Time: May 16th – 10:00am

Location: Outside! The ushers will point the way, better than me trying to give you directions.

What to Bring – Lawn chair or blanket. If you don’t have either, we will provide a folding chair.
Bring your own bread and wine for communion.

Inclement Weather – Email will be sent on Saturday morning if we need to cancel and move to Zoom.
Please make sure to check your email and pass along the information.

Covid Protocols and Precautions

Social Distancing - 6 feet + apart
Mask - at all times
No Singing
No Hymnals - unless you want to bring your own
Communion – if you bring your bread and wine. Pastor will consecrate from a distance.
No Passing the Collection Plate – there will be a centrally located offering plate.

There will be painted circles on the ground 10 feet apart to provide safe spacing. You don’t always have to sit in the same circle, but you probably will. I am told that there will be ushers to help.

We are approaching outdoor worship with an abundance of caution, loving our neighbor as ourselves, recognizing that some may be nervous about coming together.

While many have been vaccinated, not all have or will choose to, which leave some more vulnerable to the virus than others.
Being thoughtful of others is just another golden opportunity to live out our Christian calling.

Information regarding Covid transmission can change quickly. We will respond accordingly. As new information becomes available, we may be adjusting our Covid protocols.

I do not know what the fall will bring, other than cooler weather. Outside worship is not a natural stepping stone to inside worship, though that would be nice. If Danny and Brenda Rice are available, we may have to return to Zoom.

As your Pastor, I will not knowingly put you at risk and I would not agree to call you together if I thought it wasn’t reasonably safe. If at any time I become aware of situations or conditions that could compromise your safety and well-being, we will make any needed changes. Coming together is not about “survival of the fittest.” We are in this together and will get through this together, looking out for “the least of these.”

I understand not all of us are of the same mind set regarding Covid precautions, so this is yet another opportunity to practice our Christian values of patience, compassion, and respect for one another.

Blessings,
Pastor Debbie
